Caesar's Story

After purchasing my first home, I was looking for a companion to keep me company while I enjoyed the many outdoor activites present here in the Pacific NW. I was browsing profiles of pooches on petfinder.com when I came across the profile of a dog that caught my eye. I was a little disappointed to find that she had been preadopted, so I continued my search. I had no preference to sex or breed although I had grown up with basset hounds. The gal at the rescue then sent me an email with a link to a profile of a dog that she felt was overlooked for being a pit/boxer mix, but was in her opinion, a great dog in need of his own person. He had previously been adopted and returned due to breed restrictions. I checked him out and agreed to meet him. Long story short, while he wasn't my first choice, he turned out to be the dog for me. He's smart, loving and can be such a clown. He loves walking/hiking as much as i do and he's an awesome camper. I've had him for almost 6 yrs now and I can barely recall my life before he came to be with me. Did I mention that he's handsome too? I believe I needed him as much as he needed me. He's the reason I will always choose to adopt a shelter pet.
