Jasmine's Story

Jasmine had been used as a breeding dog at a puppy mill and was rescused by the SPCA in the spring of 2003. They estimated her age at 3 or 4 years. When I saw her at the SPCA, she was curled up in a ball at the back of the kennel that she was in. My heart just melted. Jasmine is an American Eskimo Spitz. Her white coat was yellow and full of dirt. I adopted Jasmine in July 2003 and our journey together began. She was afraid of everything, so it was necessary to spend a considerable amount of time on training. Jasmine proved that she was willing and very able to learn. She is still with me. We have both aged a few years and are moving a bit slower these days. In Nov 2009, I adopted a large black cat that was living under the building where I work. Jasmine has - for the most part - accepted Shorty into our family. I highly recommend pet adoption/rescue.
